Very simple ingredients and process. Make this dish when you feel lazy but hungry, which is 90% of the time for me.

Ingredients:

4 medium sized potatoes
1/2 cup milk
1/2 onion, sliced
1 cup shredded cheese
seasonings

Steps:

1) Wash potatoes and slice. No need to peel them.
2) Place potatoes in bottom of microwave safe glass dish
3) Peel and slice 1/2 of an onion, place on top of potatoes
4) Pour milk over mixture and add spices such as salt, pepper or garlic powder.
5) Cover with dish lid or microwave safe plastic wrap (do not use aluminum foil). Microwave on high for 15 minutes.
6) Take dish out of microwave with hotpads (be careful, this will be hot!)
7) Sprinkle shredded cheese over mixture
8) Place dish back in microwave and cook on high for another 5 minutes without the covering.

Let cool, remove from microwave being very careful again because hot glass dishes tend to slip out of hotpads. Be careful of the steam. Enjoy!

Fried Scalloped Potatoes And Onions Recipe

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 133px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UNEMP7rtbKM/Sjy3STB7GmI/AAAAAAAAAJU/GvBOMR7KUnU/s200/fried1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5349351982383176290" />
Ingredients Needed:

6 to 8 medium sized potatoes, peeled, thickly sliced and halved once more
1 large yellow onion, skinned, sliced and quartered
One package bacon, cut into bite sized pieces
salt, pepper, garlic powder, basil
Oil for frying

___________________________________________________________

Step 1: Place potatoes into microwave safe bowl, season with above seasonings or your favorite ones, and microwave uncovered until potatoes are about 1/2 cooked through.

Step 2: Heat up about 1 to 2 inches of oil in a large skillet on medium heat, preferably a coated one to prevent smoking and sticking.

Step 3: Bring potatoes out of microwave, pat dry if damp from condensation.
